BE CAREFUL

The British Fantasy Society has several prestigious journals within its portfolio of journals.  Some of them are paying markets and some are not.  Read their submission guidelines very carefully.  Make sure in your cover letter cleary states that you are submitting to a paying market.  On something completely different I have been having problems connecting with the submission email address of MIDNIGHT ECHO, the journal of the Australian Horror Writers Assn.  Are others having this problem.  Let me know.

ITS ALIVE !!!!!!!

BASEMENT STORIES ( http://www.basementstories.com/ ) is alive after all .

A NOTE ABOUT A BOOK

TILL I END MY SONG ( ed. by Harold Bloom , NYC ; 2011, Harper ) ISBN 978-0-06-192305-0 , is a general poetry collection.  It is not intended to be a speculative or sf/f/h poetry collection.  Yet many of the poems do have speculative/sf/f/h elements and one poem, ' Space Walking ' by R. S. Thomas is a speculative poem.  I am not reviewing the book but merely point to it as still another proof thatmainstream poetry is becomingg more and more open to sf.f.h.speculative motiffs and language.
