British general poetry magazine BRAND is no longer a paying market.

Closed to submissions are NEW ORLEANS REVIEW  and STONE TELLING.

ANALOG ENTERS THE 21ST CENTURY

ANALOG, perhaps the most important science fiction magazine in the world along with one of its mystery stablemates ELLERY QUEEN'S MYSTERY MAGAZINE , shall now accept email submissions.   A third magazine in its stable, ASIMOV'S SF, already accepts email submissions.  True neither ANALOG or ELLERY QUEEN'S are major markets for poetry but anything that makes it easier to submit work is welcome.  The fourth magazine in that group, ALFRED HITCHCOCK MYSTERY MAGAZINE still does not accept email submissions.

SUPERNATURAL/GHOST MARKET CLOSED

WHISPERING SPIRITS a semi-annual webxine that focuses on ghost stories and a market for poetry and flash fiction is closed and is probably going to open up under a new name.

NEW FANTASY MARKET

HEROIC FANTASY QUARTERLY ( http://www.heroicfantasyquarterly.com/ ) is now a market for poetry and flash fiction.
