I AM IRKED

There is a new webzine called SCRAPE that buys prose but does not buy poetry, they merely offer exposure.  Well in my state public exposure is against the law.  I do not plan to cover markets that treat poets as free sources of material while they buy prose.  I dont plan to alter this policy but I do want your comments.

  1. Major writers need to submit poetry to magazines that don't say they buy poetry. Ray Bradbury used to do that, i.e. when he sold a poem about a Dad and son tossing a football back and forth in their backyard, to Sports Illustrated.

  2. I've discussed those Omni poems with Joe. Omni closed the door afterwards, saying they'd only consider poems by people who had been to the Moon.
