A CORRECTION
One of the web sites I listed before, THE MARKET LIST, is defunct. I thought something was off when the url I had for it sometimes worked and sometimes not. And when I did get thee it became evident that the list had not been updated for several years. The fact that some of the titles listed were defunct did not bother me because defunct titles frequently show up on up to date lists. What got me going was that there was a host of zine titles that did not have current web sites. However I did discover another useful site for flash fiction.. Its FLASH FICTION AND SHORT SHORT FICTION (www.terryburns.net/shortmarkets ) It is a long list of other web sitess that list markets. Some are lists are current and some are defunct.

TWO USEFUL SITES FOR FLASH FICTION WRITERSI
I have come across two very useful web sites for flash fiction writers. AUDIO MARKET LIST (http:audiomarketlist.com) covers what the title claims. Not strictly a flash fiction list but most audio markets are looking for flash fiction. The other site is THE MARKET LIST (http://www.marketlist.com/ ) which is genre strong and seems to be a competitor with Ralan.
BOOK REVIEW OF BOMBER COUNTRY
BOMBER COUNTRY by Daniel Swift (NYC;2010, Farrar,Straus and Giroux) hb,ISBN 978-0-374--27331-8, $26.00.
BOMBER COUNTRY is many things but for poets and readers of poetry it is this. It is about poetry written during war time by soldiers. In this instance it is about the pilots and other crew members of RAF's Bomber Command who served in the bombing campaign against Germany. The focus of the book is about the author's grandfather who served as a pilot with the RAF. It shows how poetry is used by poets to cope with the destruction of war and especially the destruction they cause in their own military service.
I( highly recommend this book

COME FOR THE DATA STAY FOR THE SHOPPING
Well its the begining of the month and time for my monthly admonition; COME FOR THE INFO AND STAY FOR THE SHOPPING. when you shop for books come through the Basrnes & Noble, Amazon ( which apparently sells everything else including really exotic meats )and Powell's Used Books portals at my blog and shop., As they say support your local poetry marketing blogger.
THE POET OF THE FINANCIAL COMMUNITY
http://www.wallstreetpoet.com/ is the site for Michael Silverstein, a satirical poet whose particular targetr is the financial community. I generally do nmot like political satire in poetry because I find it ham handed aqnd dull. Silverstein's work is subtle. It is hard for me to articulate why his poetry works but it does. A good place to visit in order to see succesful examples of a difficult content for poetry.

OPEN TO POETRY BUT ONLY IF YOU ARE CANADIAN
TESSERACTS 15 anthology project (http://www.rdgewebsite.com/) ) is open to YA speculative fiction poetry of all kind but you have to be a Canadian or a landed immigrant in Canada. It can be either in English or French. . If they are concerned about Canadian element in work, you would think that it would also be open to work in First Nations (Amerind or Inuit) language that is recognised in Canada.
