THE CORRECT DECISION

Recently the sf/f/h poet as bwell as outstanding children/ya writer was elected the newest Grand Master by the members of the Science Fiction Poetry Association over df/h/Lovecraftian poet Richard Tierney.   Both poets were major poets in their own particular segments of sf/f/h literature.  Yolen was the right decision on purely pragmatic grounds.  A much wider audience is familiar with Yolen's work and career than with Tierney's.  Simply put you could do more in pr with Yolen than with Tierney.
